The Grooming Score is a consumer-sentiment publication for luxury men's grooming. Our rankings come from what thousands of real buyers report — synthesized at a scale no single reviewer could match.
What we do
Most grooming "reviews" are one person's experience with one product, or a brand-sponsored placement dressed up as editorial. We do something different and, we'd argue, more honest: we aggregate and analyze the sentiment of thousands of verified Amazon buyer reviews across luxury grooming products, then synthesize that into clear, ranked scores by category.
Our authority doesn't come from claiming we personally tested every cream and cologne. It comes from data synthesis at scale — surfacing the patterns that emerge when hundreds or thousands of buyers describe the same product over weeks of real use.
How a ranking is built
- Aggregate. We gather Amazon buyer reviews across the products in a category — the volume, the ratings, and the language buyers use.
- Analyze. AI-assisted analysis identifies recurring themes: what buyers consistently praise, what they complain about, and which results show up again and again after weeks of use.
- Rank. We translate that sentiment into an ordered list, weighted toward consistency of reported results — not just average star rating, and never toward affiliate payouts.
What we never claim
We don't say "we tried this." We don't run a lab. We don't accept payment to move a product up a ranking. Every article frames our findings the way the data supports it: buyers report, Amazon reviewers consistently note, consumer sentiment shows. That framing is both accurate and the whole point.
Balanced by design
A grooming product that's right for everyone doesn't exist. Every ranking we publish includes the downsides — who a product is not for, where buyers report disappointment, and where a cheaper option does the same job. If a ranking reads like an advertisement, we've failed.
