Short answer
Buy the original Stronger With You for the chestnut scent everyone recognizes, and expect to reapply. Buy Intensely if you want it to last. Absolutely is a boozier, woodier fragrance in its own right, and the Parfum is a leather scent rather than a louder original. Leave Powerfully until it has more reviews.
Armani sells five fragrances called Stronger With You, and the names suggest a ladder. Eau de toilette at the bottom, eau de parfum above it, parfum at the top. Buy higher and you get the same scent, only stronger.
That is not how this family works.
Armani’s own product pages, read on 26 September 2026, list five different sets of notes. The original is pink pepper and sage over a candied chestnut accord. Intensely is pink pepper, lavender and sage over amber wood and vanilla.
Absolutely is a rum accord with bergamot and elemi over smoky cedar and vanilla. The one simply called Parfum leads with leathery vanilla. Powerfully, the newest, adds a cherry accord to chestnut and amberwood.
Five compositions, sharing a name. In the United States, eau de toilette, eau de parfum and parfum are not defined terms at all, a point we covered in our explainer on fragrance concentrations. Inside this family the labels work more like a naming convention than a strength setting.
What each one’s critics complain about
Amazon’s star filters work when you are signed in. On 26 September 2026 we read every critical review the one-, two- and three-star filters served for each bottle, removed duplicates and free-product reviews, and sorted what was left by complaint. The samples run from 11 to 35 reviews.
Read down the first column. The eau de toilette is the one people say fades; 17 of its 29 critics say so. On that point, the ladder works as advertised.
Now read the second.
The Parfum’s critics mostly don’t call it weak. They say it smells wrong, and several expected the original, turned up. A May 2026 three-star says it exactly: “I liked the EDT so I thought this would be a stronger version of it. Nope this is mostly a leather scent”
That review is the best argument on this page for sampling before you buy anything higher than the original.

Amazon undercut Armani’s own list prices on every bottle the day we checked. Per ounce, the family climbs gently: $30.00 for the original, $32.50 for Intensely, $33.48 for Powerfully, $33.75 for Absolutely and $36.25 for the Parfum. The spread from cheapest to dearest is about $21 on a full bottle.
Which one for which man
For an office, the original. It is the lightest of the five, and its biggest weakness becomes a virtue at a desk.
For cold evenings, Intensely. It is the one buyers describe as lasting, and it keeps the chestnut character people buy this family for.
If you already own the original and want something different, not stronger, try Absolutely or the Parfum. Sample both first. One is rum and cedar, the other leather and vanilla. They are not interchangeable, and neither is the original turned up.
Why they rank in this order
Count comes first. Our rankings put review count ahead of review average. The original has more than twice the ratings of anything else in the family and the best distribution. It ranks first even though its critics complain most about longevity.
Absolutely ranks above the Parfum on a larger sample despite a slightly weaker distribution. Powerfully ranks last because 143 ratings can’t separate it from the rest, not because its buyers dislike it.

Is Stronger With You Parfum stronger than Intensely?
Not in the way the name suggests. The Parfum is a different scent built on leathery vanilla, and 11 of its 31 critical reviews dislike the smell rather than calling it weak. If you want the Intensely character with more staying power, buyers point to Intensely itself, not the Parfum.
Which Stronger With You lasts the longest?
Intensely, on the balance of the reviews. It is the bottle the original’s own critics recommend for performance. Absolutely divides opinion, with some critics saying it fades and one calling it too strong. The original eau de toilette is the one most often described as fading within hours.
Is Stronger With You Absolutely a parfum?
Armani labels it parfum. It is also a separate composition from the original, built on a rum accord, bergamot and elemi over smoky cedar and vanilla. US law does not define parfum as a concentration, so the label tells you how Armani positions it, not a measured strength.
